Millwright/Steel Fabricator
FARCO is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright/Steel Fabricator to join our dynamic team in Newport, AR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metalworking with the ability to fabricate steel and other metal parts according to detailed drawings and sketches. The role requires proficiency in fitting and welding steel, preferably in a construction environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fabricate steel and other metal parts in accordance with provided drawings or sketches.
- Utilize fitting and welding expertise to assemble structures such as stairs, trusses, and supports.
- Employ power and hand tools to cut and shape metal components.
- Use measuring tools to inspect work, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Fit fabricated steel items into designated structures.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Uphold a safe workplace environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Completion of a technical trade program or training program is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in fitting and welding steel, preferably in a construction setting.
- Proficient in the use of power and hand tools relevant to metal fabrication.
- Strong mathematical, reading, and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work some nights and weekends as required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
